The Wonders of the Post
Australia has a wonderful postal system which is much better than the sullen version found in the States. Walk into a Post store, and you will quickly see why. It is as if Office Depot and the Postal Service decided to join forces into one amazingly useful store. Maybe you want to pay some bills why you are sending a letter? The Post will take your cash and give it to the right utility company at no extra charge.
I could walk over to my local Post, pay a bill, buy some ink for my printer, buy a new cell phone, pick up a money order, and probably a few more things I haven't even heard of yet. And best thing is that the postal workers seems relatively happy and talkative, as if they are pretty satisfied with what they do.
I just don't see any of these employees going postal. All of which is a pleasant change from my the barely functioning New York postal system, which I always dreaded having to stand on line for anything, not to mention the unknown number of packages that never managed to make it to the door.
So if you guys want some postcards, I'll be happy to send them.
