Being in Australia, I feel that I should say something about the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. If you want a succinct description of what happened, please check out Wikipedia's entry on Australia's biggest icon. LINK. He was a good guy, and I'm sad to see him pass on.

It's 1:02 AM here. The first entry was put in at 4:13 PM, which is only minutes before I heard it from Christy. What she heard from the rumour mill, she tells me, is exactly spot on to what actually happened, down to the names of the kids and that the wife hearing of the news while on a walking tour in Tasmania. Funny then that rumors and wikis were both more informative than the evening news.

By my quick count, there have been 552 edits on this article. The wiki folks locked the page down after some vandalism got out of hand (iVandals?), but I think that it is worth a look to have a look at the history and compare the changes everyone made. LINK.
